Bio-sciences centre key to Brock’s future
By Grant LaFleche, Standard Staff
If you want to get Ian Brindle talking — really, really talking — ask him about Brock University’s new bio-sciences building.
“This is something that was about 10 years in the planning,” Brindle says.
“It’s crucial to the future of the university.”
Brock’s vice-president of research took a tour through the partially completed Cairns Family Health and Bioscience Research Complex Thursday with a handful of Brock officials and St. Catharines MP Rick Dykstra. As he walked through what will be high-tech labs, Brindle explained how research into West Nile virus, cancer and diabetes will be done by students and teachers.
