Events are organized by various committees of the association in order to raise the profile of the organization in the community and to raise funds for election purposes. Events held on an annual basis are as follows.
Celebrate together at the St. Catharines Golf and Country Club on Oct 28, 2011

Dear Friend,
I am extremely pleased to extend my congratulations to all who worked so hard across Niagara in the recent provincial elections and brought all of our ridings within reach of a Conservative victory. While we did not pick up any additional seats in Niagara, all of the races were close and made a clear statement. This was particularly true in St. Catharines where Sandie Bellows ran a very close race in a riding judged to have had the least chance of a PC win in the province.
This result follows the stunning federal Conservative majority victory in May.
Please join us to celebrate together at the St. Catharines Golf and Country Club on Oct 28, 2011, starting at 7:00 pm.
Registration for this event is $60 per person. Hors d’ oeuvres, wine and refreshments will be provided.

Rick Dykstra 6th Annual Invitational Golf Tournament
The first tournament was held in 2006 and this has become a major event for the association.
The sixth annual tournament will be held on Friday, September 9th, 2011. For the fourth year, the event will be held at John Daly’s signature course, Thundering Waters!
The entrance fee is $185 and includes a BBQ lunch and a fabulous executive dinner. After registering at 11 a.m. and eating a BBQ lunch, players teed-off at 1 p.m. in a shotgun start. They enjoyed a great day on the links, including closest to the pin, and putting contests, then sat down to relive the day’s exploits over a delicious executive dinner.

Community BBQ
This event is held in cooperation with the Member of Parliament and his office in order to meet members of the community. Information on the event will be posted here.
Hockey Night in St. Catharines
This event was first held in 2010 with funds raised going to the United Way of St. Catharines and District.
It was an amazing night at Jack Gatecliff arena downtown. There was a large crowd, great NHL players, local Ice Dogs and Falcons talent and two awesome female players from Brock’s women’s team.
The United Way was the huge benefactor. We raised over $103,000 for them. It was a big success and a great, great night. The list of sponsors was top notch and they were all well recognized for their support and involvement.
In 2011 the event is scheduled for August 12th. The United Way is working with the office of Rick Dykstra M.P. for St. Catharines, Ballhockey.com and other partners to make the second annual event even more successful. Annual Turkey Fund Raiser
This is a special fund raiser organized by the board of directors as a way to connect with members during the holiday season and prior to the Annual General Meeting in January.
Board members get together to call members, wish them a Merry Christmas, inform them of the upcoming AGM, and offer them an opportunity to make a donation in exchange for a gift certificate prior to the end of the year.
